Hope you all doing well and staying safe in your homes. We should prioritize our safety as always. In order to fight this pandemic (Covid-19) it is strongly advisable to stay home and keep safe. Avoid any mass gathering as much as possible.

Not all are in same level of living so I pray for the safety of my fellow Filipino people.

We are very thankful for all frontliners leaving their home and family to serve amid the Covid-19.

Now, due to this pandemic, the 3rd major player are facing difficulties on the on-going Dito towers construction to build 1,600 towers with in this years 2020.

In a Senate hearing last Wednesday, July 1, Dito chief administrative officer Adel Tamano said the telco only has 300 operational cell sites to date. Dito is committed to build 1,600 towers to cover 37% of the population.

"The COVID-19 [pandemic] and lockdowns prevented us from our full rollout. With the subsequent easing of different lockdown situations, we are doing our best to get back on track so that we can get the 37% [coverage] requirement under our CPC (certificate of public convenience) completed," Tamano said.

Tamano told the panel that Dito will build 2,000 towers by the end of 2020, exceeding the requirement.

The COVID-19 and lockdowns prevented us from our full rollout. With the subsequent easing of different lockdown situations, we are doing our best to get back on track,” Tamano said.
